Watch pronunciation practice in action

What it does

Pick a Korean sentence and play its reference audio. Then record your own reading directly in the browser with your microphone, no app or install needed.

Repeat as many takes as you like to improve your pronunciation.

How the feedback works

Each take is scored automatically. You get an overall score alongside accuracy, fluency, and prosody sub-scores, plus a word-by-word breakdown that flags exactly which words were mispronounced, so you know what to fix instead of guessing.

Elephant sends your recording to Azure for scoring and does not retain the audio after processing. Azure's processing is governed by its own privacy terms. Replay the reference, record another take, and focus on the words with lower scores.

Why whole sentences

Korean pronunciation lives in whole sentences, not isolated syllables. Sound-change rules like linking and assimilation only appear when words run together, and rhythm and intonation cannot be practiced one character at a time. Practicing full sentences trains the version of Korean people actually speak.

From reading to score

The pronunciation practice screen: a Korean sentence to read aloud, a reference audio player with a waveform and two selectable voices, and a record button with a note that recordings are not stored.
Play a natural-sounding reference reading, then record yourself directly in the browser.
A scored pronunciation attempt: an overall score in a ring, accuracy, fluency and prosody sub-scores, and a color-coded word-by-word breakdown marking mispronounced words in red.
Your take is scored on accuracy, fluency, and prosody, with every word marked individually.
